Recently known in the showbiz fraternity as “Eddie Khae”, Edwin Kwabena Prah, born as a twin on the 11th of March 1997 is currently a final year student at the Central University College, Prampram. He commenced his education at St. Theresa`s School, from basic to junior high school level and then continued his senior high school education at St. Augustine`s College, Cape Coast. Eddie Khae, as he is popularly known, is a simple guy who has had an immeasurable passion for music since his infant and tender years. He started as a hip-hop rapper in high school, hand in hand with his other mates who wanted to cause a superlative change in the Ghanaian and African music industry. The hard-punches rapper has released numerous songs in the recent years, but on the top of top and most popular is “Do the dance” produced by BeatMassage and mixed by XLC. This song has been a banger and masterpiece which has progressively traversed to every angle in the world and was melodiously categorized into almost all the genres in music. His song has consistently remained in the top ten songs in Ghana since its release. He indeed caused fireworks on various media stations and social media was flooded with videos of a lot people exhibiting special moves and dancing skills associated with the banger in trendy and frenzy. The ex-Renzel music signee has left no stone unturned after his hit song and has gone further to release another single titled “Mandem” and a feature hit song by Guilty beatz and Mr. Eazi titled “Genging”. After Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ dance craze earlier last year, “Do the Dance” appears to be taking over various social media platforms. The new dance called ‘banging’ is said to have its origin from the Katanga Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. The new dance which is gaining grounds on various social media platforms is being displayed at almost every social gathering including Tertiary and Senior High School events, weddings, parties and clubs in Ghana and beyond. It is simply a form of jungle matching, but this time the left leg is made to bang, while the movement of the body is made to correspond with the swinging of the arms also from the right high to the lower left limb or vice versa. The females also have their own variation but it is marked with the usual soft bang. Eddie Khae has deservingly graced a lot of big stages like the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) 2018 Celebration concert, Tidal Rave, “Lil Win and Friends” concert, Roll Kall,Afrochella, Dety Rave, BF SUMA connect concert, S concert, RTP awards, Decemba2Remmeba many more. When asked in an interview on Citi TV, Eddie Khae mentioned Sarkodie as his role model and stated his (Sarkodie) life story has been a source of motivation for him. He believes in empowering and supporting upcoming and young artistes like him and mentioned Kofi Mole, Tulenke, Twitch,QuaminaMP, Kwesi Arthur and basically the entire Ground Up team as the future of the Ghanaian Music industry. Eddie Khae hopes to be one of the most successful Ghanaian musicians, selling records and performing all over the world in the near future.
