Rashid Mortey (born October 1987) popularly known by his stage name Scata Bada, is a reggae/dancehall artiste and a songwriter. Scata Bada often blends the local Ghanaian dialect with the Jamaican Patois and has a very strong vocal ability. He started his musical career as a rapper in a duo but had to go solo for personal reasons. He has recorded a good repetoire couple of songs which included his major hit single featuring BET award winner, Sarkodie titled "Style it". In the middle of the year 2016, he became an independent artiste and formed his own clique, Baddest Empire. The "Baddest Empire" constitute the fan base of Scata Bada. He has had a couple of nominations which includes Discovery of the year category of the Bass Awards 2016, collaboration and reggae/dancehall song of the year, Bass Awards 2017, reggae/dancehall music video of the year, 4syte TV Music Video Awards 2017, Ghana Naija Showbiz Awards winner 2017 in Nigeria.
